WLX (discontinued)
The WLX WLAN-Client-Adapter provides devices with an Ethernet interface the ability to communicate wirelessly over an existing wireless network.
The advanced features of the WLX are:
Ethernet | The WLX has two LAN ports that are connected in the standard variant via two RJ45 plugs. If required, these Ports are also available with M12 connectors. The two LAN ports are working together as an Ethernet switch with the WLX processor. In many customer applications this will save the use of an external switch module. |
Power Supply | The WLX is powered by an electrically isolated voltage converter with a very wide input range of 10-72V. The power is connected via a 5pin M12 connector (-S variant), a 3pin M8 plug (M-variant) or via PoE (802.3af) on the LAN port 1. The power consumption is less than 5W. |
Housing |
The housing of the WLX offers flexible mounting options:
|
Processor | A very powerful processor and the large memory resources of the WLX result in a fast roaming behavior and short authentication time. Additional applications can be implemented without affecting the primary tasks of WLX. In the future, the WLX will also support the 802.11n standard. |
